An Evening with the Blues

The first annual An Evening with the Blues was nothing short of extraordinary! Nearly 600 passionate hockey fans and dedicated philanthropists packed the historic St. Louis Union Station Hotel for an electrifying evening in support of children bravely fighting cancer and The National Children’s Cancer Society.

The night was a celebration of hope, heart, and hometown heroes. Guests were treated to a spectacular evening filled with delicious food, handcrafted cocktails, heartfelt laughs, and inspiring moments. The program dazzled with appearances by St. Louis Blues legends Kelly Chase, Chris Pronger, and Brett Hull — all brought to life through a lively and entertaining Q&A hosted by 5 On Your Side’s very own Frank Cusumano.

The excitement soared during the live auction, led by former Blues player-turned-auctioneer Reed Low, where bidding wars broke out over exclusive memorabilia from the Cardinals and Blues — and even a once-in-a-lifetime Vegas getaway to see The Eagles live in concert.

A truly moving highlight of the evening came when our very own NCCS case manager, Kendrie, took the stage to share her powerful story of survivorship. A former recipient of the NCCS’ Beyond the Cure Scholarship Program, Kendrie spoke candidly about the challenges of battling cancer and the strength it took to overcome them. Her full-circle moment came when she joined the NCCS team as a case manager, now offering the same hope and support to families that once uplifted her.

But the true star of the night was young warrior Lola, who captivated the audience with her shining spirit and courageous heart, reminding everyone in the room why their support matters so deeply.

It was a night to remember — full of joy, generosity, and game-changing impact. An Evening with the Blues has officially set the bar high for years to come!

Congratulations to Our Raffle Winners!

This year, we were thrilled to introduce an exciting new addition to our event — one-of-a-kind raffles open to all! These exclusive items brought a fresh energy to the evening and gave guests the chance to win something truly special, all while supporting a meaningful cause.

Weller Bourbon Rainbow Collection Raffle

Our first raffle featured a collector’s dream: a rare, complete set of the Weller Bourbon Rainbow Collection, beautifully displayed in a custom, lighted barrel. With tickets going for $100 each, it was hard to resist the chance to take home such a remarkable prize. We’re thrilled to congratulate Kirk Figus for winning this bourbon-lover’s treasure!

Louis Vuitton Félicie Pochette Raffle

Our second raffle offered a touch of luxury — the Louis Vuitton Félicie Pochette purse. Sleek, stylish, and endlessly versatile, this crossbody bag was a must-have item. At just $50 a ticket, the odds were almost as fabulous as the prize itself. A huge congratulations to Sheila Michalski, the lucky winner of this iconic purse!
