Helpful Resources

helpful resources from the nccs “It takes a village to raise a child.” It’s a well-known phrase that represents the trials and unity that come when raising a child. Unfortunately, when childhood cancer enters the life of a family, sometimes the village flees. The NCCS is committed to being an anchor for families facing childhood cancer, from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and beyond. In addition, the various programs offered by the NCCS, such as financial, educational, and emotional assistance, we strongly believe that there is bountiful strength and love within the childhood cancer community. With this, our website features a dedicated page highlighting other childhood cancer organizations and resources, giving families the opportunity to explore all their options and face the diagnosis with greater insight and support.

Our Helpful Resources webpage provides direct access to more than 100 trusted organizations and support services from across the United States, organized by key topics. We understand that many families don’t know where to turn after a diagnosis, which is why we’ve taken a proactive approach in offering guidance and information upfront.

This carefully curated list has been developed over the years to address the most common and most difficult challenges families face after a childhood cancer diagnosis. While each organization operates under its own policies and procedures, we encourage families to explore these resources and lean on the broader childhood cancer community for the support they need.
